     Multi Purposed Tourism Villages

Introduction:

Given that most developing countries do not have strong economic resources, tourism, as an industry, can add significantly to the economic stability of a developing nation.  A strong tourism industry can reinforce the balance of foreign commerce of developing countries.

Tourism has been developed significantly on national and international levels during recent decades and no doubt the speed of its development will increase in coming years.

For some countries, tourism is considered as the main export source and for a few countries it is the main source for foreign exchange revenue.

Economically, tourism development is very important especially for developing countries because it engenders foreign exchange and generates new careers.

However since the tourism industry is very sensitive to factors other than economics, forecasting and planning about it is more difficult than other economic planning.

The tourism industry is a multidimensional phenomenon and success in its exploitation depends on the improvement of general conditions within the country, economic & social stability, reinforcement and expansion of the background related to different affairs of the tourism industry such as transportation, hospitality, art and culture, recreation, national monuments and other areas.

An important point that should be emphasized regarding tourism industry development is that all authorities of the country should have a common viewpoint about the importance and place of tourism in economic and social arenas in such a way that the authorities of different centers have a common behavior toward it.

Goals of the Plan:

To perform the development programs of the tourism industry in Iran and to develop the domestic culture for it, to fulfill practical research on all levels , research centers and bilateral relationship with research centers of the world, to fill the leisure time of citizens especially the youth through establishing recreational centers, offering careers, and solving the problem of unemployment, to encourage external and local investors to invest in the tourism industry, and to establish tourism villages in other provinces of the country.
